Water Treatment Chemicals

Water Treatment Chemicals and Their Applications
At MTC Chemical, we offer a wide range of chemical products used in water treatment processes. These chemicals are used to improve water quality, prevent corrosion and scale formation, and maintain the pH balance of water. Below, you will find detailed information about our water treatment chemicals and their applications:
Phosphonates
Phosphonates are chemicals used in water treatment processes as scale and corrosion inhibitors. ATMP, HEDP, DTPMP, and PBTC prevent calcium carbonate precipitation, especially in cooling water systems, ensuring the system operates efficiently. EDTA and NTA bind metal ions to prevent scale formation, while products like STPP L 400 and STPP L 600 are used as softeners in detergent formulations. Mono Sodium Phosphate, Di Sodium Phosphate, and Tri Sodium Phosphate act as pH regulators.
Amines
Amines are used as corrosion inhibitors in water treatment systems, especially in steam boilers. Ammonia raises the pH of water to prevent corrosion, while Morpholine and Hexylamine control corrosion in steam lines. Octadecylamine and Dioctadecylamine are used to maintain the pH balance of water. Amines such as DEAE, DEHA, MEA, DEA, TEA, and Triethanolamine increase the alkalinity of water, providing protection against corrosion.
Polymers
Polymers are used as scale inhibitors and dispersing agents in water treatment chemicals. Products like Sokalan CP 5 (Maleic Acid Acrylic Acid Copolymer) and Sokalan HP 70 (Polyamide Amphoteric) bind calcium and magnesium ions in water to prevent scale formation. HPMA (Hydrolyzed Polymaleic Anhydride) shows stability at high temperatures and prevents scale formation. Polymers such as Aqualer 1000, Aqualer 1010, Aqualer 1050, Aqualer 1100, Aqualer 2000, Aqualer 3100, and Aqualer 5000 improve water quality, maximizing system efficiency.
pH Reducers
pH reducers are chemicals used to control the pH level of water. Chemicals like Sulfuric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, and Sodium Bisulfate increase the acidity of water, lowering the pH value and preventing scale formation.
pH Increasers
pH increasers are used to raise the pH level of water. Sodium Carbonate and Liquid Caustic increase the pH level of water, providing corrosion control and raising the alkalinity of water.
Flocculants
Flocculants are chemicals used in water treatment processes to aggregate suspended particles in water, allowing them to settle. Products like PAC, PAC 17, Polyacrylamide, and Aluminum Sulfate improve the clarity of water, enhancing water quality.
Coagulants
Coagulants are chemicals that cause small particles in water to clump together into larger particles, allowing them to settle. POLYDADMAC helps to aggregate solid particles in water, making the water cleaner.
Specialty Chemicals
Specialty chemicals are used for various purposes in water treatment systems. Benzotriazole and Tolytriazole protect metal surfaces from corrosion. Antioxidants such as Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) and Hydroquinone regulate the oxygen levels in water. Chemicals like EDTA and Sodium Sulfite improve water quality by preventing scale and corrosion in the system. Methyl Ethyl Ketone is used in various solvent applications.
